Pete the instructor was amazing and takes his time to see where your level is and coaches you on how to improve. It was my partners first time and within a few shots she was hitting clays. Despite it being a very cold, grey January day, the experience was fantastic from start to finish. Peter’s humour, enthusiasm, and clear, calm instruction made us feel completely at ease. His knowledge and teaching style were excellent, with plenty of encouragement throughout, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The sheltered area with a lovely log fire was a really nice touch and much appreciated on such a cold day. The setting itself is perfect and great fun and I even managed to beat my partner at archery, which made it even better! Michael was super responsive on WhatsApp and organised everything quickly and efficiently, from booking through to receipt. Worth noting that they accept cash and cheque only, no card payments. A fabulous fun day with archery & axe throwing followed by Sunday roast at the hotel . Very easy to book with Mike and the location is perfect for the activities, a lovely 10 minute woodland track. A cold wet day in the lakes but the log burner was on in the hut keeping us warm and dry . Peter our instructor was amazing, he couldn't have looked after us any better . Professional simple instruction meant we actually hit the targets! He was fun, friendly and was so interesting. He made our day . Excellent clay pigeon shooting experience in the Lake District. Pete, the instructor, was first-class — professional, calm and very easy to listen to. His instruction was clear and practical, and we were hitting clays straight from the off, despite having no previous experience. Safety and technique were explained properly without overcomplicating things, which made the session both enjoyable and confidence-building. The guidance throughout felt personal rather than generic, and the whole experience was relaxed and well run. Set in a great location and delivered to a high standard, this was one of the highlights of the trip and something we will definitely do again. This afternoon, my partner and I had the pleasure of having Peter as our instructor for a shooting session. We didn’t know what to expect, but Peter proved not only to be exceptionally competent in what he teaches, but also a genuinely wonderful person to spend an afternoon with. We had an amazing experience clay pigeon shooting with Pete today at Kirkby Lonsdale. Pete was an excellent teacher and we loved his anicdotes !
